Room service attendant Giselle Burke has worked at the New Orleans’s Hotel Beaudelaire for two years. While the rich and famous have their most carnal desires indulged during the hotel’s rare Den of Sin weekends, Giselle must remain an outsider looking in on the revelry. A hard thing for a woman who craves being touched.

When her longtime friend Max—known in BDSM circles as the “dark dom”—invites her into one of the hotel’s premium black rooms to help him break in his new submissive, she throws caution to the wind for just an hour. Max knows exactly how to extinguish her skin hunger, but he doesn’t recruit her into his play just because she sets a good example. With her, he doesn’t need to be the dark dom. Unfortunately, that’s the only way she’ll have him.

Cicely Winterbourne works at Bletchley Park. She's an ordinary girl, but nearly every dirty little secret of WWII passes through her hands. One may get her killed. Already two people have been murdered, and Cicely must find out who wants her dead: the Germans, the Russians, or an entity too terrifying to consider. The world hangs in the balance, and as perhaps the only person in Britain able to save her country, Cicely knows she can confide in no one—not even Alistair Fielding, dashing war hero of Dunkirk.

Finding The Right Girl Special Charity Edition

Finding The Right Girl
by Violet Duke

* * * ON SALE for 99 CENTS for a limited time only! * * *
Special Edition for Charity Cover: Fifty percent (50%) of all royalties from the ebooks and paperbacks sold bearing this special edition silver seal cover will go to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and--in honor of the characters in the Nice Girl/Nice Guy books--the Huntington's Disease Society of America.

From the New York Times & USA Today bestselling author who brought you the Nice Girl to Love trilogy, comes A Nice GUY to Love spin-off...

Brian Sullivan has been in love twice in his lifetime. He lost his first love to early-onset Huntington’s, and he lost the other more recently…to his brother. And somehow, his heart has managed to heal itself after both. Amazingly, without therapy. That doesn’t mean Brian hasn’t gotten more wary along the way, however. In fact, he’s been thinking lately that maybe his brother’s now retired nothing-but-flings rule isn’t such a bad idea. Unfortunately, being the nice guy poster boy and all, he isn’t exactly versed in the fine art of flings. So he looks to the outrageously ‘unique,’ provokingly button-pushing Tessa Daniels for a crash course.

There’s absolutely no way he’s falling in love with this one...right?

Tessa has no idea what she was thinking telling Brian that she was some sort of fling expert. She’s never been flung before and she sure as heck doesn’t know where or how to begin flinging a guy like Brian. It was a temporary lapse in sanity, really—no doubt because of the can’t-help-but-fall-for-him brain fuzz that hits her whenever he’s around. Not only does the man have her being more herself than she’s ever been in her life, but he’s the only person she knows who seems to have as many demons and skeletons in the closet as she does. What’s more, he’s got her thinking of the one thing she stopped letting herself even hope for years ago.

A happily ever after.

Note: This is a spin-off of the Nice Girl trilogy (Resisting, Falling, and Choosing), however, it is a separate standalone (no cliffhanger).

Cass' Top 10 Movies of 2013

Now that 2014 is well under way, I'd like to take a look back at the year that was 2013, specifically movies of 2013. Please note these are my top picks of the movies I saw last year and do not include many of the Oscar nominated flicks (because I haven't seen them). Hopefully other movies (12 Years A Slave, Mud, Frances Ha, Gravity, Her) will make the rounds on Redbox or Netflicks soon. What were your favorite movies of 2013?

Top 10 Movies of 2013

10. Trance  This movie starring James McAvoy and Rosario Dawson, directed by Danny Boyle was slow paced and a bit off kilter at first, but like so many psychological mysteries (Memento, Sliding Doors), once you get into the meat of the story and the action steps it up a notch, you realize Trance is really quite a daring and fiendishly clever little tale. On a second viewing (courtesy Redbox), I was able to catch so many of the clues in the beginning, and have to admit, I truly enjoyed Trance much better the second time around. This film would have been higher on my list had the beginning 30 minutes not dragged as much.

9. Django Unchained  Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz pull off stunning performances in Tarantino's 70's-esque exploitative take on slavery and the old west. If you like Tarantino's style, then you'll probably love this movie. If you think his movies are too dialogue heavy (and they can be), or too violent, you may think another film should have made the list. As I've always said, Tarantino is an acquired taste and not everybody gets him.

8. Iron Man 3  I surrendered to the superhero shtick and enjoyed this darkest take yet on the helmeted hero. Ben Kingsley (whom I've always admired since his role as Gandhi) played both dramatic and comedic, sometimes in the same scene, showing his incredible versatility. Tons (literally) of action and enough smash-ups of Iron Men to keep the guys in the audience very happy.

7. Star Trek Into Darkness I have to admit I'm not a Trekkie or a Trekker or whatever uber fans of the franchise call themselves these days, but I got pulled into the plot and characters. Especially the character played with incredible finesse by Benedict Cumberbunch. He totally made watching this latest inductee to the Star Trek saga completely worth it. The actor has pathos and how!

6. American Hussle  How many A list actors does it take to make the perfect screwball dramity? Apparently the answer is five. Inspired by a real life NYC con man, this reinvented 70's-styled flick pays due homage to one of the godfathers of direction, Martin Scorsese. Starring Robert DiNiro, Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, and Amy Adams.

5. Prisoners Brilliant acting from Hugh Jackman, proving he is much more than a set of claws and a weird hairdo. I've seen him play comedic roles and seen him in dramas where he shines. Don't think to typecast this guy, because he truly has the chops to play any role out there.

4. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug The middle is always the hardest part to write, be it a book or a screenplay, and although this second movie in The Hobbit series seemed to drag at times, it still delivered some wonderful scenes, with incredible cinematography. Martin Freeman is such a versatile actor, I don't think he gets enough credit for his capable handling of the character.

3. Frozen Yes it's an animated Disney flick. Yes it's for little kids. But it was a fun movie and the artistry brought me back to the old days of Disney, to classics like Cinderella, Snow White, and The Little Mermaid. Kudos to Kristen Bell who did a wonderful performance as the voice of Anna.

2. The Wolf Of Wall Street Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio team up in one of the hottest flicks of the year. The comedic talents of Jonah Hill add to this wild ride through the early 90's financial madhouse.

My top pick is...

1.The Family Robert DeNiro and Michelle Pfeiffer are fun to watch in this comedic dark tale of a mob informant and his family adapting  to the witness protection program. They find old habits are hard to break. Hilarious.

Rereleases And Song Titles As Books

2014 will be the year of rereleases and new things to come. Since getting rights back to some of my old ebooks, I've been doing a lot of rewritting, adding new material, and basically injecting them with super juice. :)

Last year fans will note I rereleased Compulsion, one of my original 2007 ebooks. Complete with a spiffy new cover, an additional 7k of new material, and as requested by readers, more scenes with secondary character, the ever sexy Tegan. This year I Put A Spell On You will rerelease, in addition to The Midnight Effect, and time permitting, Cup of Fate.

Just one problem. I noticed with Compulsion that using the same title for the rerelease, made it awkward with cataloging in the various reader review platforms. Which brings me to the subject of this post. I Put A Spell On You came about because a few of us at my publisher were playing with song titles as book titles, and since I'd always loved CCR (yep, dating myself here) I tied myself and my book's title into the song. The fit was perfect.

Flash forward eight years and much as I still love song titles as book titles, it's clear after the lack of new reviews, and confusion with last year's rerelease, that I need to change the titles (at least somewhat) for the rewritten stories coming out this year.

I decided to put it out there to readers of my blog, my Facebook, and my newsletter. If you had to rename I Put A Spell On You, what title would you pick? Keep in mind, I Put A Spell On You is going to be part of a series called Spellcraft, so spell needs to be in the title.

To help, here is the blurb:

If you can’t be with the one you love…
…then maybe you should put a spell on them! At least, that’s what sexy hunk Sebastian Matthews thought when he cast a spell on Tess Warner thirteen years ago. Something must have backfired with the potion, though, because he left town with his heart broken.

Older, wiser and sexier than ever, Sebastian’s back and ready to give it another try. Only one problem. The recipe for the potion and the spell that goes with it, were in Tess’ father’s grimoire. Oh–did I forget to mention, Tess and her entire family are witches! And though Sebastian is just an ordinary guy, he does have one thing on his side–the spellbinding magic of passion!

The choices:

1. Spell On You
2. Bespelled
3. Spell Betwixt
4. Sebastian's Love Spell
5. Other (write in your own)

Thanks, Cass

New Release: Under Fire by Denise A. Agnew

Under Fire
by Denise A. Agnew
www.deniseagnew.com

Genre: Erotic Romance Suspense/Thriller | Novella

Book two in the Love Under Fire series

When the stakes are high, there’s only one man she’ll trust when danger rips her world apart.

Kathleen McSwain truly understands the saying “always the bridesmaid, never the bride”. Was she nuts the day she agreed to be a bridesmaid for the eighth time? Especially when it means she’ll be in close proximity to rugged Army Major Jake Frasier—the man she fell in love with when they were in high school.

Being out of control is the last thing Kathleen wants, and Jake tempts her to be the wild woman she used to be. Jake is too hot, too disturbing, too stirring for her blood. But when gunfire strikes close, the fight for survival will forge a bond deeper than they ever imagined.

Inside Scoop: The couples in the Love Under Fire series find love through the crucible of a mall shooting event.
